Upon arrival, it is required to clear customs and immigration. A passport is required for entry into the Bahamas and return entry into the Unted States..

You must allow yourself a sufficient amount of time to apply and receive your passport in advance of travel.

Taxis meet all flights. Tell the taxi driver you are staying at Tides Edge on the Eastern Shore. The taxi will stop at the stores for a short time if you will need to stop for supplies right away. The stores close at about 6:00 P.M. and some stores are only open in the morning for groceries on Sundays.
